The default graphics library used by ML is "XGL" (http://svi.cps.utexas.edu/software.shtml).

I checked and ML is using XGL version 1.1.0, which is the same as what's offered online.

Is there any documentation on how we can modify it?

The XGL developers did not mention their license policy on the website, but the XGL copy included in ML has everything that we need to recompile the MEX dll. So we can modify it as we want, if necessary. I would ask their permission first for distribution of the modified version though.

Good idea. Yes we should write them for permission.

I have recompiled XGL! I'm looking into modifying it to give us an option for windowed mode, or potentially debugging in full screen mode based on some information I found on this website:

Also, in order to generate the matlab mex files for XGL, you will need this library:

I will also add mouse up and mouse down handlers into XGL and then into MLVideo.m
