Hi,

I was wondering if eyejoytrack can be used to specify a rectangular window in which a subject must fixate, rather than a circular one. I was hoping by specifying a rectangular task object as the target for fixation (rather than fix as the object), that  the subject would be able to fixate anywhere within that shape. However, it seems that eyejoytrack is producing a radius around the centre point of the rectangular object - still producing a circular fixation window.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

This is something I was going to fix with a new trialholder, but I guess there is no harm to do it with the current trialholder. With the new version of NIMH ML2, you can use a rectangular fixation window like the following.

eyejoytrack('acquirefix',1,[3 3],3000);

Thanks - I edited the trialholder function slightly and was able to get this working (albeit without the fixation window being displayed correctly on the ML user screen).
