I am trying to minimize the ITI for my task as it currently averages around 2.3 seconds (although I set the desired ITI to 500ms).
The task is fairly large in the number of conditions (roughly 800) and the number of task objects for each condition (around 50 - mainly ML objects and jpegs, no movies). I have tried adjusting the ITI level in the main menu and the Run-time priority is set to highest. When I run a Matlab latency test, the Mean Latency = 0.0006ms; Max Latency = 0.051 Is there anything within the timing file that could help to reduce ITI (I.e. reducing the number of eventmarkers or saved variables?) Or is it more likely the large number of task objects that are causing this problem Thanks

It is more likely the large number of task objects. Have you tried the new MonkeyLogic, NIMH ML2? I re-wrote almost all the code and, as a result, I get a lot shorter ITI when I run the same task with NIMH ML2.
