Hello everyone,
I work with monkeys in a lab at La Sapienza University in Rome.
We started to use Monkey Logic with a touchscreen some months ago, with my colleague Simon Nougaret.

For the task that we are developing, during the Intertrial interval the monkey must not touch the screen (The screen in this period is without objects), otherwise Inter-trial interval restart again.
In this way we can train the monkey not to do any movement during this period.

I was wondering if this is possible and how I can specify this situation in my timing file, after using 'set_iti(Intertrial)'.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions,
I hope the problem we encountered is clear, and I apologize if the solution is simple.

Best,
Francesco Ceccarelli.

Your inter-trial interval is not really an ITI. It is still a part of the trial. Add the following code to the end of your timing script.

button = true;
while any(button)
    idle(1000);
    [~,button] = mouse_position();
end
set_iti(0);
