Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to change the 'error logic' setting during the task by a piece of code in the timing file. For e.g. I would like the error logic to stay "repeat the trial immediately" for say, 10 trials, but then be changed to "ignore" for the next trial and so on.

Thanks.

That is certainly possible, but you may need to write your own "Condition Selection Function" to do it.

From: http://monkeylogic.org/mlmenu.html

  • Condition-Selection Function: The name of the m-file containing the user-defined condition-selection function, if applicable. This function must be located in the experiment's base directory. This function is expected to return the condition number to be played next. Returning -1 indicates that this block is complete and a new block should be chosen according to the method selected above. This function, like all user-provided functions, has access to the TrialRecord structure, which provides information about the subject's performance, conditions- and blocks-played, thus far.
